More Pumpkin Pics

We also closed on our house yesterday! This was a good break from a hectic and crazy closing experience. I won't bore you with details, but whew, a break was much needed!

Pumpkin Patch

I have been craving the pumpkin patch all week, so off we went with the cousins on Friday afternoon. You've just gotta love fall. There's nothing better than that first day when you can put your long sleeves back on and feel an autumn breeze. We had a great time and enjoyed some additions to the place this year including a giant homemade slide that the kids couldn't get enough of.

During the hayride back from the corn maze Lincoln ended up at the other end of the group from me. I was sitting with some of the other cousins. I heard everyone laughing and looked down to find that he had hopped onto some other lady's lap. She told him that she wasn't his mommy, but he didn't seem to mind. He looked up at her and shrugged his shoulders and decided to stay there! The whole wagonload was laughing. I could hear the hispanic lady across from me explaining to her husband that he didn't even know that lady!

When we got back and caught up to one another again Lincoln said, "Mom, I found the wrong mom. Her had the wrong hair. It was white." It cracks me up that the most important thing was that the hair was all wrong. It is still his source of comfort to play with my hair, so I guess if he had to have a new mom she would have to have just the right hair.
