Another exciting week!

The boys started their new schools this past week.  I didn't get any pictures because our bus comes at 7:20.  Too early to have time for pics!  They are really enjoying their new schools and teachers.  We got a chance to meet the teachers and visit the schools and we are very pleased to have them where they are.  I knew Lincoln was going to be happy right away at the meet the teacher night.  He found a friend right away by wearing his Minecraft shirt.  The boy noticed and they started chatting right away.  He even asked if Lincoln knew a bunch of Minecraft parodies and they both sang several of them together.  They set up their desks next to one another and they are bound to be a handful for that teacher!

Jackson has been so much happier since school started.  He loves to learn and has been begging non-stop to go to the library.  His favorite new thing is reading. He begged his teacher for homework when they didn't have any and she gave him some worksheets to do at home.  I hope this trend continues!

Harrison's class changed too.  He has new kids in his class and he's doing great there as well.  I love to hear how excited he is each day to tell me what they did.  He is my first child to tell me lots of details about his day and it is so fun to hear (unless it continues on and on and on when I want him to be sleeping!).  He is going through the I still need a nap, but I can't go to bed at night if I have one phase.  Every mom loves this phase.  :)  I was having problems keeping him in bed, so I have trained him not to get out of bed, but to call out for me if he needs something.  Recently he called out for me at about 1am.  I ran in to check on him and see if he had wet the bed or something.  Instead he said, "mom, can you make me some toast?"

No, I can not.

Thursday night Jeff was having some abdominal pain and couldn't sleep.  He thought about driving himself to the hospital, but didn't want me to worry!  He waited until I got the kids off to school and we went together. I thought he might be having appendicitis, but it turned out he had kidney stones.  Yuck and ouch.  He is doing much better now.
