Arkansas

Now that Jeff covers a few states for his job we are taking advantage of weekend getaways with him.  I drove the kids out to pick him up from his recent visit in Arkansas and we made a little mini vacation out of it.  On Friday we hit their local theme park which had both roller coasters and a waterpark.  It wasn't very crowded or hot - the perfect day really!
We have known for a long time that Harrison is more cautious than his older brothers, but we were surprised that he didn't want to go on too many rides.  He asked to go on the ones that go "slowly."  This is a new experience for our family and we rode the carousel a few too many times!

The big kids on the other hand, are now tall enough to ride everything and they are loving it!  Lincoln came away from this one with a busted lip and Jackson had a bloody nose and they both loved it anyway.

I am officially getting old as it took me about half an hour to recover from riding on the balloon ride that twists like a teacup ride.  Ugh!

Saturday we visited with our friends the Richards from our Oklahoma ward.  We spent the whole day with them and had a great time reconnecting, playing games and eating yummy food!  They took us to their favorite pizza place for dinner with unique offerings such as Taco, Honey Mustard Chicken, BLT, etc. They walk around and bring you slices of all different kinds as they come out of the oven.  Yummy and a fun experience!
