I felt like I hadn't prepared well. I was planning on going the next day, but I let the kids talk me into it. I wish we had thought to bring our swim shoes. Those would have been very handy. There are a few places where the pavement is VERY hot or you are walking in the river. I had my phone cover, but I forgot the cord to carry it around my neck. I ended up using Jackson's pocket, which velcroes, but made me nervous! I didn't end up taking very many pictures anyway as we were too busy having a blast!
There are two separate water parks and you can take a tram back and forth. We started on the old side of the park and spent nearly the whole day there. A nice lady that worked there suggested we stay there until 4 or 5 pm when things start to slow down. We ended up stay until 6, but we still didn't get to do everything! Harrison was begging to do some of the rides again, but I kept telling him no because there was too much more to do!
Most of the rides we went on were very long tubing chutes. It was hard to stay together, but everyone had a great time meeting people along the way. We would all meet up again at the bottom and head to the next one!
Harrison enjoyed a small part of the kiddie area while we waited for our pizza to cook.
At the end of the day we headed to the other side of the park. I only remembered on thing about it from our visit 10 years ago - the Master Blaster that takes you both down and uphill. We had heard that the line for it was about two hours long! We waited 47 minutes according to Lincoln (who is usually quite accurate). I told the boys we would do the Dragon's Revenge at the end, but we never made it. It looked pretty cool, so I feel bad that we never got to do it. Next time!
We played so hard that day that the next day I wasn't feeling well. I had trouble sleeping that night and even had a fever and chills. Needless to say, we didn't do much the next day! I did have to pick up something at IKEA, but it was the quickest trip ever and I spent less than $35. Now you know I wasn't feeling well!! :)
We played games in the hotel and swam in the pool. The next day we went to see the new Pets movie. The kids loved it - I just thought it was ok. We enjoyed having our evenings with dad and even stopped by to visit Lesley, Andy and crew on the way home.
Jeff was concerned it might rain in their basement.
