Chess
I took Lincoln to his first chess tournament yesterday. We were somehow left off of the e-mail list most of the year so this is the first one we knew about. He did great! It was an all day deal - 8-5 and he stuck with it really well. He played six games, winning two coming to a stale mate on two. It was his first time using the clock. The first game he thought he only had 30 seconds to make a move so he felt really rushed. We both learned how the clock works and he did so much better after that. I really enjoyed the chess families and talked to lots of nice people. I hope we get a chance to do more of these. His coach is really encouraging us to go to Nationals in Nashville, but we are still undecided about making that happen.
