One of the kids unplugged my alarm clock. I reset it last night by looking at Jeff's. I fought getting up as it seemed SO early and I am currently using Nyquil to help me sleep through my second cold this month. I was NOT happy to find out that our clocks were an hour early for my already too early seminary morning AFTER I had showered and gotten all ready. That means I got up at 4:30. I'm wondering now if Jeff will wake up an hour early too? Hmmm.

So in an attempt to cheer myself up I thought I'd share some early morning humor.

I have been just cracking up at the things Lincoln comes up with lately. He has been making so many funny comparisons. My favorites have been (and forgive me if I've already posted one or two of these):

"Mom, that was as fun as a popcorn ball."

"I'm more excited than a clapping fish."

"I'm more tired than a lizard... and all they do is stick their tongues out."

I have been trying to figure out where in the world he comes up with this stuff. And then it hit me when I was on the phone with Jeff during my trip to DC. It was time to hang up... a simple 'love you, bye' could do, but instead I got, "Shine on you sparkling diamond."

Then I knew.
