How excited was Lincoln to go on his very first bus ride? We had a great time with all of Lincoln's classmates and lots of moms and dads at the zoo this morning. Each student chose an animal to look for before leaving for the zoo and Lincoln was in charge of the kangaroos. We saw them early in the day on our tram ride. I really enjoyed meeting lots of the other moms and seeing the kids interact with one another. They are all just so excited to have so many friends. Lincoln was willing to spend much more time learning about some of the animals than he ever has been before. He still quickly passed over some of the ones that most people enjoy, like primates, and the cougar, but he took his time as we walked through the birds and asked me about each one. We even saw a kookaburra eating a little mouse. Fascinating. He asked me the names of all of the birds and we talked about the things that were different about them. It was also fun to see him writing his name in the dirt with a stick during lunch time. He's growing up so quickly!
