Lincoln: [while the baby was crying] I don't think I want a baby in our house anymore.
Me: Do you think we should just give him to someone else?
Lincoln: Yeah, then maybe when he is a kid they can bring him back
Jackson: I can't go to school today because there is gum on my neck. (he got some after his haircut last night and decided to stretch it around his neck last night - very stuck and it hurts too much to pull off)
Me: Why can't you go to school because of gum on your neck?
Jackson: They will see it and they will think that I did it.
Me: Are you embarrassed?
Jackson: [nod]
Me: Would you go to school if I give you a turtleneck to wear?
Jackson: yes

My Favorite
Harrison is my new favorite. For one thing, he never asks for my help and then runs over to steal my computer while I go to help him. He smiles in his sleep and smells so sweet.
Jackson is my favorite too. He is my cuddly, dimpled thoughtful one. He is constantly giving kisses and telling everyone that he loves them.
Lincoln is my first favorite. He makes me laugh all day long with the crazy things that he says and does. He is always curious and excited, full of energy and has become a super helper.
I'm a lucky mom to have so many favorites!
Welcome Back Me!
I would just like to officially announce that I'm back. I'm me again. I have felt SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good since Harrison was born. All of the pregnancy ailments are gone. It is officially 6 weeks now so my body is mostly back to normal and I feel 3 million percent better. I feel so good about being a mom again. I even kept Jackson home today since Lincoln had no school even though there was Mother's Day Out that I had already paid for. I am enjoying my kids again. Yeah!
Quote of the day thus far:
J - Mom, after you have finished helping me with level 3 and level 4 I will LET you get back to your cleaning
