Battle Wounds

Harrion and Lincoln are looking a little abused. Harrison was just walking around and tripped over my foot while we waited at the bus stop. Face plant. Lincoln found his way to the pavement from his bike "because he was going to slow."

Must be time for family photos. :)

Jeff love: He took the afternoon off and loaded up the family for an evening of Pho and bike riding by the beach. We were impressed with how far the kids rode and we will definitely be doing that trail again - just not starting at the beach because of the huge hill right at the beginning.

Love Series

I have been feeling overwhelmingly blessed and grateful for my husband. When we were planning this new career move I asked him if his friends from work were jealous that he was moving up - he'd worked really hard at making this whole thing happen. He said that they were more jealous that I was willing to move to make it work. This really surprised me and I've thought a lot about it, so I've decided to make a new series at the bottom of my blog posts about what an amazing husband/father/person he is... I just haven't decided what to call it. Some possible titles:

Why I'd follow Jeff Poyner anywhere he wants to go.
or Can you believe how great he is?
or Guess what he did today?
or Why you should be jealous that this man loves me.

Today's I love Jeff post: When I fail to plan and have nothing for dinner, he can whip up something great that everyone loves... even though he was headed out the door for a client dinner and didn't even eat with us.

Harrison Cuteness

Some of my favorite things about Harrison right now at 21 months:

Waves goodbye to the school bus every morning
Says "duh" for drinks
Gives awesome hugs and the very occasional kiss
Still takes a long morning nap and a short afternoon nap
Folds his arms for prayer
Doesn't cry at drop-off anymore - just waves goodbye!
Shakes his head "no" dramatically about just about everything (even if the answer is yes sometimes)
Finally like the swings
Loves to go for rides in the stroller
Loves cars, ball, bubbles
He's just about as adorable as they come!

So Long Squirmy

When the kids first started catching the frogs they didn't want to touch them. All squirminess has disappeared.
