Family Pics

We had a white elephant type exchange of services for Relief Society one night and I was lucky enough to win Carly Pendleton's photography skills!  Several farmer's around here have started planting Canola and it creates beautiful yellow fields in the spring - it was a good reason to take advantage of the moment and get our family pictures made.  I've had these since May - I can't believe I haven't done anything with them yet!  (except frame one as a super late Christmas/Mother's day present!)

Missing Posts

I've been neglecting my blog a bit and I'm hoping that trend is going to end!  Life has been crazy hectic and I just haven't had time to squeeze it in. What have I been up to over the past few months?

- researching new areas/schools
- looking at houses - lots of houses!  online, in person, etc.
- working out every detail of building a house, all of the changes I wanted, not signing the contract
- working out details on building a different house, not as many changes, but still a few, not signing again
- remodeling a bathroom
- getting a new roof
- selling a house
- taking kids to YMCA summer camp
- removing kids from YMCA summer camp after they left Lincoln at a park and let both kids get super
  sunburned at a waterpark
- finding a new place for the kids
- potty training
- lots of doctor's appointments
- a minor surgical procedure
- teaching gospel doctrine (large adult sunday school class)
- finding an older home before the previous contract was ready for signing
(after trying to get it ready for weeks!)
- single motherhood while Jeff travels a lot for his job
- evening trips to a small water park
- planning changes to our new house
- packing boxes
- anticipating my 20 yr high school reunion (really?!)
- actually reading my book club books
- I'm sure I'm forgetting something(s)
-

So I feel that this crazy chapter of life is finally nearing an end. I'm hopeful for a bright new tomorrow and more time for the simpler things in life like doing crafts with the kids and cooking healthy meals again.

4th of July

Ready for picture overload?
Aimee always has her kids dressed so cute for the holidays!

The bubble machine was a big hit with the little ones.

It was so cool this year that the pool actually felt cold!  I opted out.

Natalie's birthday is the 5th. Happy Birthday Natalie!

Lincoln spent the morning creating paper "creepers" so that he could put fireworks in them and blow them up.  It kept him happily occupied for hours.

Making water balloons to launch with a slingshot.

Successfully destroying one of the creepers.

Our own pyro-technicians.

Chasing parachutes.

The crowd who preferred a safe distance and a chair.

The crowd who would get as close as they were allowed!

Granny enjoying her grandbabies.

Sparklers!

Davis found a comfy seat to watch the big show.

The end!
