The Little Things

With all of the commotion of a big move I want to make sure that I am still remembering to document the day to day things that bring us joy. Harrison has been such a delightful baby and makes me smile every day. Today I threw together a little plate for Harrison and just set it on the floor for him. He went over and got himself a bib and handed it to me (it wasn't a messy meal - this picture is from a while ago - what in the world was he eating?). I put the bib on and put him in his high chair. When he finished I took the bib off of him. He took it from me and put it back away!

The other night at dinner he was organizing all of his foods into matching groups. He likes to have cabinets closed like I did when I was a kid (still do). He is so much more cautious than the other two were at this age. I wish I had a video of him on the elevators from our house hunting trip. He wanted to stand on the floor, not be held and he would squat a little bit while the elevator moved like he was riding a surf board. When we got out he always wanted to hold someone's hand and take a giant step over the threshold. So cute.

Tonight Lincoln asked me, "Mom - tomorrow can you take a break from making menus and play with me?"

I think I just better do that.
