On Monday morning after we came back from Oklahoma Jeff informed me that he would be out of town on business for the next four days. We knew that he would be driving almost 5 hours on Monday, but hadn't looked too closely at the rest of his schedule until Sunday night. We always miss him when he is gone, but on Tuesday night he called to let us know he would be staying in Madison, which is only an hour away. I had everyone packed up within 15 minutes of our call and we headed to Madison to stay with him and swim at the hotel pool. It was a bit crazy trying to squeeze in our night of fun and still be back for regular activities the next day, but we had a great time.
Jackson, unfortunately, doesn't handle his lack of sleep too well. If his schedule isn't consistent and if he doesn't get enough sleep he can be a real grumpalumpagus. I know because he gets this from me. :)
Anyway, this morning when we were getting ready for summer camp he threw a big tantrum. He didn't want to go and "this is my life and you can't make my choices for me" and the whole bit. I was trying to work through it with him and sat down to talk to him. Harrison came over and sat down by us. He looked right at Jackson and said in his cutest two year old voice, "rude."
It was a good mood breaker and we all had a good laugh.

The 4th
All of our Poyner evenings were spent playing 5ive Straight... an addictive, easy to learn strategy game.

Harrison would say, "more... fire" and then after a while it was "done... fire...home." The guy was beat! (ice cream helped)
Time with Grandma and Grandpa
My family discovered the museum of Osteology the week after we moved. It is an amazing place with bones of all different animals displayed in such a neat way. Lincoln especially enjoyed filling out a scavenger hunt questionaire they had for kids. I thought it was cool that you could actually touch the things on display (especially for Harrison). Jackson's favorite part was a hand's on section where you guess which skull belongs to which animal.

We always play lots of games and I love that the kids always want to do a puzzle while we are there. It is a memory I have of always doing a puzzle with my grandparents when they came to town.
The weather was beautiful and we spent our evenings outside. We came home to find out that it had been hotter in Wisconsin and all of the grass here is brown. 
Grandpa took the kids through the fountain when dad wouldn't. They were soaked and the loved it!

The second Camilla to join my family lately
We got to attend sweet new niece Camilla (Cami)'s baby blessing after a lovely family lunch. Jeff and I dragged Harrison up to Tulsa the night before to spend some time with her before the rest of the group got there. Harrison and Hunter were so funny together. My favorite thing was watching them play peek a boo at the table while they ate. So funny. Thanks to Granny and Papa for keeping the big boys overnight!
After the blessing we headed down to see my parents... who like to know when people are coming. :) We pulled out the kayak. It had been a while and the ropes had disintegrated. That made for a difficult dismount when my dad was trying to get out after everyone else had gone inside. Sorry about that Dad!
Oklahoma Surprise
What do you do when you find out you're about to miss your nephews' laser tag birthday party? You pack up the kids and get out the door by 4:45am so that you can make it in time. That's what you do.

We had planned on heading to Oklahoma to surprise everyone in Tulsa the next day. There was so much family stuff going on this week and both us had slow work weeks... we couldn't miss it! When we realized that the birthday party was that Friday night rather than the following as we had thought, we made it happen as quickly as possible!
