Catching Up

I have been a slacker blogger lately. Just know that my blog is not the only thing I've neglected. Plenty of other things have been neglected too... like cleaning and folding and general taking care of things. With nausea as my newest friend I have neglected all of the old friends. I thought I'd just give a quick update on everyone and what they've been up to.

Jeff - has accepted a new position. He will still be at Dell, but in an entirely different department. He is really excited about the change. He will be managing a team that has regular clients and a more personal relationship than the regular help desk calls. He misses that part of help desk work a great deal, so I hope that this will be a great match fo rhim. He is also continuing to work with KIPP and receives a great deal of appreciation from them. This second job is helping us to get the minivan that we will need soon enough!

Lincoln - loves to play computer games and board games. He was just here by my side working out when we can play Sorry together (just a few more minutes buddy!). He has been a good helper lately and is willing to do things when Jackson won't (a big role reversal). We have been swimming a lot at our neighborhood pool. Recently when dad was lathering the sunscreen on he said to him, "don't put any on my nose because that makes me naseous." I guess he might have been hearing that phrase a bit much lately! He has such an imagination and is always coming up with stories. His big thing right now is to make books. He colors multiple pages and then asks me to staple them together.

Jackson - is very three. This is such a tough age! My once always sweet boy is now my difficult one. Just as I'm cleaning up whatever mess he has just created in all of his curiosity he is off making a new one. He is still very tender and always a cuddler. He is always hungry and sneaking into the fridge and pantry. This kid LOVES beef jerky - like his dad!

Baby Three - At my 12 week appointment yesterday they couldn't find a heartbeat, so they sent me over to have an ultrasound. That 45 minutes in between I was trying to stay strong and assume the best. As soon as I saw movement on the screen I had such relief. This baby is a wiggly one! The sonographer kept saying "stay still!" He had a hard time getting the heart beat to read because the baby was moving around so much. It was fun to watch and especially to see that everything is looking good.

I - got a prescription for the yuckiness and will hopefully be past that part soon and back to normal. I have had a couple of days that were better this week and actually cleaned out a closet and did some of the regular stuff I do (exciting things like cook dinner and vacuum). We've spent a lot of time at the pool because I do so much better with fresh air than I do inside the house... and well, it has been over 100 degrees here. Pool.
