Pirate Performance

The first and second graders put on a fun show all about how to become a pirate last night.  Lincoln had a rough go of the afternoon show in front of the school.  He had no place to put his lint in his pirate pants and was worried that someone would try to take it if he set it down.  By the evening performance he had things figured out and did a stellar job.  It was fun to see him really getting into the part and singing his little heart out.

This morning he and Jackson set up the bunk beds as a stage area, dropping a blanket down from the top bunk as a curtain.  They set up a lamp so that it was a spotlight and set up chairs for Harrison and I to watch their show.  They took turns back and forth for eleven "acts" of dance moves, etc.  Harrison was really into it and loved clapping after each act.  About act 7 he walked out of the room.  I mentioned that they had lost an audience member and Jackson said, "oh, he's just leaving early to beat the traffic."

Butterfly Entertainment

Lincoln caught this butterfly outside. He put it into the jar, but was worried it might get bored.
