Baseball Week

Jeff has been coordinating a big event for Dell for months at a Milwaukee Brewer's game. He has been very excited about it, but it was a lot hard work too! The day finally came this week and the whole family tagged along (for moral support, ya know) for the game. The first pitch was at 12:10, so the kids were thrilled to get to leave school for it. I was impressed with Lincoln's interest in the game. He didn't want to leave his seat to get snacks and things because he didn't want to miss the game. He was especially interested in how fast the pitches were. Harrison was a wiggle worm and mostly wanted to sit with the man in front of us in his own chair. Silly kid!

That evening we had a cub scout pack meeting. We played baseball for our activity! It was so much fun. We had a very small group at first so the adults were participating quite a bit, but soon we found a family with boys that joined in and they had such a great time.

The next night Jeff asked me if I was up for a date night. He was talking dinner and a movie type date and I said I was up for anything.... "even going back for another Brewer's game?" Sure! He was told that he could exchange some of yesterday's tickets. It ended up being a hassle (and in the freezing cold!) to do that and we just bought some from a scalper. We invited the parents from that same family who played with the kids the day before and made it a double date. It was such a fun time. I even looked away from conversation to pay attention to the game a couple of times.

Today the family is out playing again in the backyard. Maybe this will become a "new favorite pass time."
