Kangaroo Video

Here is a video of the boys with the kangaroo. So fun!

Tiger Safari

We went to the neatest place today! I'd never heard of it, but Jeff discovered it on the web when I requested a "fun family activity" for today. It was like visiting a zoo, but you had your own guide through who could get many of the animals out to hold or feed. We were able to hold ferrets, a snake, an alligator, and a baby kangaroo. The kids got to feed a tiger (with a long pole) and ride a turtle.

Tradition Lives On

My parents have this wooden tree that comes out every Christmas and my mom always likes to set it up randomly so that it looks like a Christmas tree. My dad likes to set it up so that it goes around in a spiral. John and I have taken our sides on the issue as well... needless to say, every time someone new enters the room the tree has transformed one way or the other! Well, as luck would have it, Lincoln found the tree this year and said, "This is all wrong!" and began to transform it into "mom's" way. John quickly jumped in to explain to him that he was in fact wrong and needed to be instructed how to properly set up the wooden Christmas tree.

Last year mom wanted to get a picture of all of those who loved random with their tree and all of those who loved structure with their tree. We took the pictures, but the were terrible as we were all worn out and wouldn't even sit up on the couch for them. Poor mom!

Harsh Critic

So, the other day I was coloring with Lincoln and showing him how to stay in the lines. He said, "mom, you missed a spot. You're not very good at this, are you?"

Ouch. A four year old criticizing my artistic abilities! Not a nice thing to stay to your graphic designer of a mother....

Speaking of art. This is a picture of the boys painting the bobble head dogs they got for Christmas. It was a party kit full of dogs to paint, complete with paint and brushes and even little aprons... fun!

Jackson on the Dock

I wanted to try putting a video out on my blog to see how that works. This is one Jeff took with my new camera and I think you will enjoy watching Jackson feed the ducks with my dad. For anyone who hasn't seen him for awhile it is fun to hear how he is talking... and you can catch a glimpse of his adorable smile.
