Spring Break

 Jeff and Joe ran off to Colorado with Jackson and Harrison for a few days to ski, so mom, Lincoln and I did a few things of our own.  First, we found this sculpture that I had passed on the road months ago and always wondered what it was.  It was huge!  I thought it must be part of a museum of something, but it's not.  It's just a huge sculpture that is near downtown in a little grassy area by the road.  It is made up of lobster netting and painted this color to represent the Oklahoma soil.  It reminded of a lot of Pam.  We were amazed at the size of it and the amount of work it must have taken to get it all there and put together.

Afterward we went down to Norman to see another art museum that my mom and I had planned on visiting.  Lincoln wasn't very interested in most of it and was anxious to leave - mostly because he was hungry!  We enjoyed what we saw though, and will have to go again.

Jeff borrowed the slingshot from his friend for a week or so and enjoyed driving everyone around in it.

Over the weekend we drove down to see Grandpa, Toni and Kelly.  We had a really nice visit, but I forgot to take pictures.  Luckily Kelly and I took one quick selfie during a walk when we spotted some bluebonnets (although you can't really see them in the picture - ha!)

Jackson's Birthday

Jackson wanted a big party with lots of friends.  He loved every idea I gave him and could never decide for sure on any one thing.  We ended up taking advantage of a warm February and played water balloons and dodge ball and then had Jeff set up the big screen and projector in the backyard for a movie.  It was a fun night!  

Jackson has loved the cookie place in town and wanted to get a giant cookie - we found this smaller cookie with a dog on it that looked just like Oreo, so we had them just make a giant blue cookie and put the small one in the middle.  Mom and I worked hard at keeping everyone fed with Pizza and cake and Jeff kept everything working outside.  It was a great night!  

Harrison's Birthday

So, maybe this happened a long time ago and I'm just getting around to putting it on here.

Harrison had been planning his party for months and was super excited to turn 6 (way back in December.)  He wanted a super hero party, which was a blast to plan - and so easy!

I went all in and made capes for all of the littles.

The one thing from his list that I forgot to do was turn out all of the lights and have everyone yell "surprise."  He wanted that, even though he did all of the planning with me.  :)  He was just as happy as I could hope for.
