Noah's Ark FHE

Lincoln planned our FHE last night when he had the idea to play a game where we each made things out of play-doh and everyone else had to guess what it was. I decided we could definitely work that into a lesson, so we talked about Noah. It had been a while since we had talked about Noah and I was impressed with how much detail they remembered. I was also impressed with their play-doh sculpting abilities. Here is Jackson's frog, dad's lizard, my rhino and Lincoln's cousin "Hannah" (got a little side-tracked from the animal theme!)

Decorations

Lincoln decided to decorate the entryway to my office. He just picked up whatever he saw around and taped it to the wall. What a nut!

Jackson has also re-decorated his room. He took down the things that I had hung up on the wall and used wiki-sticks wrapped into little loops to hang up some things that are special to him, like a thank you card from his teacher for a DVD I gave to their classroom. So sweet.... not exactly the look I was going for in the room, but very sweet!

Dad's Back = Sledding

With a sick baby brother I didn't try to take the kids out in the snow other than playing in the yard, but once Jeff got back I encouraged some real fun! We called Lili and Elaine and brought them along to our favorite sledding hill behind uncle Joe's old house. We smiled as we watched our boys doing things to make it even more exciting, like riding backwards or laying on their backs head first. The girls loved it too, but didn't want to even be in the front of the sled. Then we really smiled when Jeff said, "smile!" for the camera and they both actually stopped what they were doing and posed for it. It was really warming up and we caught the last of the sledding snow before it all melted away. It was really nice to be warm and even Harrison loved finally being outside again. He especially loved watching a big dog that someone had brought along who was playing fetch with a stick.
