Kitchen Progress

The kitchen is, slowly, but surely coming along. Very slowly. Here is a little sneak peak. It shows some of the bead board that I've added (but haven't trimmed yet) and some of the paint that is slowly being added to all (both upper and lower) of the cabinetry. I just put in a little mistreatment on the window this morning.

I haven't painted anything in the built-in desk area yet. I'm still undecided on color for that area, but am considering black, various shades of brown, or charcoal.

Homemade Mother's Day

I love this presentation. How cute is your own child's picture on your own child's coloring page with his name scrawled out... the first letter being tiny and on a different line than the rest of his name.

I have to admit that I'm not too sentimental about all of the papers that come home from school. I save a few precious ones. This one I wanted to take a picture of because I knew it couldn't last any other way.

This is, I'm sure, the first of many homemade mother's day gifts that will come home from school. Very precious indeed.

Same boy?

Could this possibly be the same boy who said a week later, "Mom, I don't want to have ravioli for dinner... it will make my lips too messy."
