More Camping Pictures

Mmm, s'mores.

Sarah is always the one to catch a fish!

The cool little town of Medicine Park.

Spring Break Camping

As we approached the Wichita Mountains this is what we saw.  We soon learned they had prescribed burns happening in the area. It was all good.

The boys did a great job of gathering wood for the fire!

This is the mountain view from our campsite. We climbed this one one afternoon.

The crew coming down from the top.

We tried this place that claims to have the best burgers in Oklahoma - third best in the country.  There was a lot of hype - and we were quite disappointed.  There was a huge line waiting to get in as we left... was tempting to say don't bother!

We loved seeing tons of prairie dogs
and some buffalo

and this strangely amazing place called Holy City where they hold a huge pageant every year...
right in the middle of nowhere.

The first night was very cold, but we all slept much better the second night!  It was a great chance to spend time with family, make up crazy stories around the camfire, eat delicious food (mostly prepared by Jeff) and enjoy mother nature.

Preparing the Garden

The boys, especially Jackson, have been anxious to get our summer garden going again.  I bought a few seeds and the boys went to work clearing out the garden in preparation to plant some new things.  We started with carrots, Jackson's choice.

I was really impressed with how hard they worked.  Harrison did a little and then enjoyed blowing bubbles.
