After the Baptism... Hunter's Party

Hunter had a Wild Kratts birthday party right after the baptism and it was so much fun.  Here the bigger kids used their "Butterfly Creature Power" to wrap up a younger cousin in a cocoon.  Most of the littles were really good about being wrapped up!  Hunter and Cami were so calm and just let them go at it!

Next they had Polar Bear Power and slid down the hill on an ice block.

Some cousins just liked eating the ice after it broke.

Then they had "Cheetah Power" and had to steal each other's Cheetah tails.  They had a blast doing all of these games.  My kids are still talking about it and playing them at home.

The made these cute little vests for everyone with velcro badges as they changed out their creature powers.

So much fun. 

I was having crazy allergy problems (I usually don't, but  the pollen is really bad right now) and took some meds right before the baptism.  I was starting to feel better, but I think the meds zonked me, because I actually sat down in a chair and fell asleep.  Definitely not like me to fall asleep in the middle of a party (unless it's dark outside - lol).

Jack's Baptism

I've been trying to get Jack to go to the temple with me to take pictures for his baptism, but he was not into that idea.  In fact, we looked through the whole last year of pictures and he made a bet with me that I couldn't find one of him smiling.  It was pretty close - I found ONE where he wasn't being completely goofy.  He didn't like it though, so he agreed to take a few at home.  He was too wiggly though and the best smiles are all blurry.  This is the best one I got... he has this sneaky look on his face because he had gotten up so close to me.  I love this goof ball.

My mom made a comment before the baptism started that my boys must have the most personality of any of the kids in their schools.  We're both a little overwhelmed by how much "personality" they have!  I adore them one on one, but trying to corral all of them every day can be exhausting!  I have this sort of ideal in my head of how these things are supposed to go down... dreams and reality don't often mesh. I just wanted one family picture - with all of us together.  Couldn't make it happen.  Oh well.  We were all there, I promise.

It was wonderful to have so much family there.  All of his cousins, aunts and uncles on the Poyner side were there (except Davis who was sick and Andy who had to work). We held the baptism in Choctaw because everyone is closer out there and Papa is the bishop.  It was a family only event and that made it pretty special. Granny and Jeffrey gave the talks and did a great job.
