This past weekend we ha a little backyard campout with a few of our cousins. The neighbor boys came over for a while too and Jeff brought out the glow sticks. They were a huge hit and everyone had a great time. The goal was to have a tent and roast marshmallows without all of the normal hassle of camping. Done! All of us but Jackson even slept in our own beds.

We had an eventful night the next day. One of the pumpkin candles was lit (without my knowledge) when we all went to bed. It was sitting on the kitchen table and caught fire. I woke up to the smoke alarm blaring and found it aflame! I put it out quickly, but boy did that get my heart racing!
This week Harrison had a field trip to the Express Ranch as part of "Read for the Record." They try to get as many kids as possible to read the same book at the same time to beat the record each year.
The next day we had a scout field trip to the fire station. It's been a fun week!
