I love that he went over and found his camp chair, dragged it over by the dog and crossed his legs to watch him.

I think it's hilarious that when he gets really tired he repeats some demand over and over until it becomes a drawl and then a mumble until finally he's out. This demand has included:
Me no go sleep
me need mine shoes on
me want snack
I'm sure there are more, but today's tops them all....
me NEED ice cream. you drive ice cream place.
Once he finally drifts off we are usually in the car or I am holding him (he REALLY fights sleep and these things seem to help). When I transfer him to the bed he wakes up just enough to look at me and get out one last demand, though usually pretty mumbled, and goes right back to sleep. It cracks me up that even though he's already fallen asleep the instant he is wakened he goes right back into his mantra.

Potty Training: We've relapsed. He was doing super well and then just stopped wanting to try. He still uses the potty sometimes, but not without an immense amount of encouragement and the promise of something delicious. I read this hint somewhere recently (can't remember where) that once they have moved on to underwear it should be called "big" underwear and a diaper is a "little" diaper/pullup. This is working really well. He'll ask for a diaper, and when I say, "OK, we'll just wear a little diaper," he reacts instantly with, "NO, me big boy, me wear wunnerwear." At least he wants to wear the right thing. I'm sure the rest will come with time.

This is a boys in general thing, but I've been "laughing" at how much clean up there is in a life with boys. I have three of them, and yes I'm counting my husband. I read a blog post this morning on rocksinmydryer that made me just really wonder what it would be like to have a girl. I sometimes think I need Jeff to stay home with these alien people because I don't understand what makes them tick. I'll go work and you try to understand what's going on in those tiny boy brains! I do feel blessed to be a part of their lives though and to have them with me every day. The "me love you's" make all (make that most) of the messes worthwhile.
