I haven't been to Home Depot in over a year. It's just not normal.
Yesterday, I ventured back in and went a little crazy. Lincoln's room got paint (finally!) and my ugly door handles, knobs and pulls for much of the house all got replacements. (HOORAY!) I've been talking about that since we moved in. Feels good to have a few little projects behind me.
We had a tradition in Texas that every Saturday of general conference (every 6 months) we would listen while we painted a room. With conference coming this weekend I was inspired to finally paint Lincoln's room. Jackson is as excited as I am and Lincoln is... well, ok with it [read: could care less].
My new stuff isn't fancy, but it isn't hideously ugly now either. Plus, our bedroom door actually locks now. In case I need a place to hide now and then.
