Let the Toddler Craziness Begin...

Harrison has been walking for a couple of weeks now and he's getting pretty good at it. He's surprising me by showing up all over the house and just this morning (it's only 9am mind you) I've found...

a nerf gun in the trash can
a tv remote in his crib
a spoon in the bathtub
the xbox remote in the shower
and a sock in the toilet

Let the good times roll.

Little Host

The first afternoon back into our normal routine after the Christmas break I could tell that the kids were happy to be back at school. At the same time, it is exhausting for Jackson. He was spent and fell asleep in the car after our errands around 4pm. He woke back up when we pulled into the house, but had a rough evening being so tired. He was sent to bed around 6:30 with much kicking and screaming. I even got my first and dreaded "I hate you."

The next afternoon Lincoln was the one having a hard time. He got angry at me because I made him share with Jackson and started throwing things around. I was explaining to him that he was only making it worse and he'd have to clean up the messes he'd made. He hadn't hit his breaking point and was still angry when sweet Jackson appeared and cleaned up after him. He didn't say a word... just showed up and started picking everything up.

Later that night we had some friends over and he was such the little host. He set up "centers" where they could do different activities (like his new frisbee golf set that he loves and takes everywhere). When we watched a movie he offered to get everyone drinks and served them, asking frequently if anyone needed a refill and then taking care of it. One of the girls suggested he might be a really good waiter when he grew up. It was such fun watching him take care of everyone.
