There have been a few moments that needed capturing when I didn't have my camera on me (or I wasn't there!). I just uploaded some recent pics from Jeff's phone that I thought I'd just include in one post that is somewhat out of date. The boys at their first hockey game, Jackson's birthday, Harrison's first haircut (the second one went much better).

I-Phone Moments
There have been a few moments that needed capturing when I didn't have my camera on me (or I wasn't there!). I just uploaded some recent pics from Jeff's phone that I thought I'd just include in one post that is somewhat out of date. The boys at their first hockey game, Jackson's birthday, Harrison's first haircut (the second one went much better).
Squeezing in the Good Times
We had a really great day as a family today despite the busy-ness! We got up early to clean the church at 7am. Who am I kidding... we didn't have to wake anyone up - they woke us up! The boys were actually really helpful and happy to clean. They learned some good skills and Jackson even came home and mopped our kitchen floor! Since we were up, out and in a great mood we decided to hit the zoo and check out the new elephant exhibit. We picked up some friends along the way and had a great morning. We got there right when it opened so it was fairly empty... we even had the park to ourselves, but we knew that it would be a busy zoo day. It certainly was packed as we were leaving around lunch time! I had to laugh again that in the whole series of photos taken at the goose our female friend Jaycie smiled sweetly for every single shot. The boys are too busy playing to stop and smile for the camera. We hit our favorite Pho place on the way home and had a quiet afternoon together. Jeff entertained the boys, mostly on the trampoline so that I could get some work projects done. He took them out for errands and then a movie so Harrison and I visited Grandma and Grandpa. It is always fun to hang out with the parents! I love the look on my dad's face in this picture... pure joy hanging out with the grandbaby. In between I worked madly on menus and forgot things like dinner (for myself -Harrison let's me know when he's hungry!).
Some things making me smile from the boys this week:
Jackson: [after asking me to move his bike seat up] "Now it hurts my wedgie" (I guess he sort of picked that word up from somewhere, in a sense... not from me!)
Harrison: When he wants me to take him somewhere he grabs both of my pointer fingers and pulls with all his adorable little might, bending his body in half. I must get this on video.
Lincoln: After he'd been in bed a long time and I assumed he was asleep he brought me a book that he was 24 pages into. I let him stay up to read me the last 22 pages because I was so happy that he picked up a book on his own. He was so proud of himself.

Jackson Love
My conversation with Jackson tonight when I went to tuck him in:
Jackson:
Mom, you are the best mom ever.
And dad is the best dad ever.
Do you have to love Jesus more than your mom? Do you HAVE to?
Me:
Hmmm. What do you think?
Jackson:
I think the answer is Jesus (sounds a little disappointed)
Me: It might be that we should love Him more, but that's pretty hard to do when you are only 5 years old.
Jackson: Yeah.... do you think sometimes people get shy around Jesus, like you do sometimes when you meet someone new.
Me: Yes, I think that might happen.
Jackson: But I bet He tells you not to be afraid
Me: Yes, He always wants you to come to Him and not be afraid.
